The Legion of Super-Heroes first appeared in Adventure Comics #247 in 1958, looking to recruit Superboy for their 30th century teen team and launching what would become one of comics’ all-time cult-favorite series. These handsome, hardcover DC Archive Editions reprint the Legion’s appearances in chronological order, from those early guest-spots in the Superboy feature in Adventure Comics to their eventual starring berth in that same title. The Archive series also collects the Legion’s guest-appearances in Superman’s Pal Jimmy Olsen and their backup series from Action Comics.

These hardcover books are nothing but beautiful, and if the Legion’s not your cup of tea, the historic early adventures of such stalwarts as Superman, Batman, Wonder Woman, Plastic Man, and the Flash—among several others—are preserved as DC Archive Editions, too!
