Absolute Vertigo was a one-shot that gave readers a preview of Vertigo’s new offerings for 1995. Among them:

• Vertigo Voices: The Eaters: a very, very black comedy about a family of suburban cannibals by Peter Milligan.

• Jonah Hex: Riders of the Worm and Such: a darkly engaging tale of the old West by Joe Lansdale (Dead in the West).

• Preacher: the story of Jesse Custer, a small-town preacher inhabited by an unholy spirit.

• Ghostdancing: wherein Native American gods join with mankind to bring on a new age.

In addition, Absolute Vertigo features a new Invisibles story, artist “jam” pages, and a recap of Vertigo’s line.
