Earthworm Jim
(Marvel, 1995-1996)
™ and ©1995 Universal Cartoon Studios, Inc.
Earthworm Jim was an arcade-type computer game for Windows 95 put out by Activision. The game was designed for younger players, and the Marvel comic was part of the merchandising along with the cartoon show and the action figures.
The 3 issues of this title had featured the earthworm super-hero; his puppy pal Pete; and his girlfriend, a beautiful insect princess, against an army of lawyers from the planet Heck. It features some competent, funny-animal artwork, but, as a humor-adventure comic, it’s a long way from Jack Cole or Carl Barks.
