Sarah was a fifteen-year-old who dearly missed the mother who had left her. Now, she lived with her father and stepmother and seemingly was always left in charge of their baby boy, Toby. Sarah escaped by dreaming she was a beautiful princess, and that the Goblin King would come and spirit away the bratty baby so she could be free.

Then one night, Sarah got her wish. She wished out loud that goblins would take the baby. They appeared out of nowhere to do just that. Sarah begged the Goblin King to give the baby back, but he refused. Instead, he gave Sarah thirteen hours to find the baby, hidden somewhere in the castle beyond Goblin City. To get there, she would have to navigate the Labyrinth, a vast maze full of strange, whimsical creatures.

Labyrinth was a movie starring David Bowie as the Goblin King, and featuring Jim Henson’s wonderful Muppets.
