American Splendor: Terminal

 AMST   (Dark Horse, 1999)

™ and ©1999 Harvey Pekar

This black-and-white one-shot is yet another installment in the continuing adventures of Cleveland hospital file clerk and freelance writer Harvey Pekar, probably the most prominent proponent of autobiographical comics—what Dark Horse Comics refers to as “neo-realism.” There are several short stories in this collection: Pekar instructs younger readers (“Most of you are younger than me”) on how to handle money worries, jazz, Jewish-American writers, blues, bank-related red tape, etc.—life’s details and distractions.
