Kabuki Color Special

This one-shot special seems part poem, part comic, and part pinup book. The story, such as it is, is of Kabuki standing in the rain at her mother’s grave, and eventually freeing her ashes from their urn, where the wind sends them flying into the sky. It’s admittedly not much of a plot, but it’s told in a lyrical style and illustrated quite beautifully. Bill Tucci (Shi), Mike Grell (Green Arrow), Joe Quesada (Ash), Tony Harris (Starman), and others contributed illustrations to this special, as well as Kabuki creator David Mack.
