Sold to CrossGen Entertainment shortly before the demise of her original publisher, Chaos!, here Lady Death is resurrected and revised by her creator for another chance at greatness. Gone is any mention of Hell or Demon hordes. This time Lady Death is a maiden named Hope living in a small medieval village. When she and her mother are murdered by angry villagers, Hope’s father, part of a mystical race called the Eldritch, is able to resurrect her as a super-powered warrior of vengeance. She is later joined by a human ally, Wolf, and together they seek revenge on those who would harm the innocent.

While just as tough and vengeance-driven, this second version of Lady Death dresses more modestly and has a much smaller bust size. This Lady Death is more about plot and story than titillation.
