Part 2 is a tale of three loves. Ranma’s archrival Ryoga has a secret. Could it have anything to do with Akane’s new pet piglet, P-chan? As Akane’s affection for P-chan grows, Ryoga’s goal shifts to winning Akane’s love.

Ranma’s affection for Akane really grows during this time as he finds himself, or herself, fighting for, or instead of Akane in several unusual martial arts tournaments. Akane, too, finds some of the good qualities that Ranma hides behind his macho façade.

Things are going swimmingly between Ranma and Akane when Shampoo bursts on the scene. This Chinese Amazon has given female Ranma the “kiss of death” for stealing the Amazon championship. When male Ranma knocks Shampoo unconscious, he fears he’s just made matters worse. Especially when he discovers Amazon law dictates that a woman marry the man who bests her!
