Batman Confidential

Batman Confidential bears remarkable similarities to the book it unofficially replaces, Batman: Legends of the Dark Knight. Each book has a revolving set of creative teams, and each supposedly takes a look at Batman early in his crime-fighting career. The biggest difference is that while LOTDK tended to be all over the map storywise, Confidential purports to examine turning points in Batman’s career, such as how he obtained certain crimefighting tools (the Batmobile, the Batwing) and his first meetings with other notables of the DC Universe. The initial story arc, launched by Andy Diggle and Whilce Portacio, deals with stolen Waynetech technology and Bruce Wayne’s first confrontation with Superman foil Lex Luthor.
