Civil War: Amazing Spider-Man

In the wake of the Super-Hero Registration Act, vigilante heroes were given a choice: officially register one’s secret identity with the government, or be hunted down as an outlaw. Peter Parker made a choice that he thought was in the best interests of him and his family, but as the consequences of that decision escalated, he started to wonder if he was fighting on the right side. His decision, however, was too big to undo—and resulted in him fighting battles of increasing intensity against those he once called friends, both as Spider-Man and as Peter Parker.

This trade paperback collects The Amazing Spider-Man #532-538 and features most of Civil War’s major players: Iron Man, Captain America, and many more. J. Michael Straczynski and Ron Garney collaborate on the storyline that truly changed Marvel’s flagship character, for better or worse.
