Black comedies don’t come a lot blacker than this one. The Quill family is a close-knit clan who live in the small town of Churchill. The Quills were just regular folks who went to church on Sunday, worried about the educational system, and did their best to raise their kids according to their traditional values.
There was just one catch: the Quills were “Eaters” (they held that the more correct term, “cannibals” was quite rude). Granted, this saved them a lot of money on food costs, but it did lead to certain complications. One is that their teenage daughter has had trouble finding true love because they kept eating her boyfriends. More trouble came along when they ate the man presenting them with their Apple Pie Inc. “Best American Family 1995” award. Now his partner’s out for revenge, and the family must leave town. So, the Quills have loaded up the Winnebago, and are setting out to see—and taste—America…
