| When I try to open Comicbase 2017 Express (v 19.4.1) on a Windows 10 machine (4 GB RAM), I keep getting a popup that states:
Having trouble updating currency variables. The Microsoft Jet database engine cannot find the input table or query 'CurrencyHistory'. Make sure it exists and that its name is still spelled correctly.
Path 1: When I click OK, I get another popup that states:
You should download the latest currency exchange rates before proceeding. Do it now?
When I click 'Yes', I get another popup stating it cannot find the file. I do this routine a few times and sometimes Comicbase opens (after getting the first message a couple of times, it seems to give in and open) but if I go to the Internet tab, the Currency Exchange subtab, the program yields a popup that states:
run time error -2147217865 (80040e37) automation error
and shuts down completely.
Path 2: I click No, I get a popup that states:
Having trouble updating exchange rates: (0)
Wen I click OK, I get sent back to the very first popup in the message.
I have recompacted the database and when I do, I get sent back to the very first popup sent in this message.
I have tried resetting ComicBase preferences...no impact.
I have tried reinstalling the Express v19.4.1 Update. The problem persists.
When I try to go in via Sidekick, I get the first popup about trouble updating currency values.
At my wits end.
Wondering if a complete reinstall is required.
