so i have a main database with all my books. and as i get new books i have a current database by the box that they are stored in. so now i have box n25 which is all my new books just bought and i have just filled it up. i set the location for all these books to N25 then export the data and upload to the main database. since boc N25 is filled i start a new data base and it will be box N26 and all new books go into that data base untile that box is filled. so i have a data base for each box and a main database with all books. with me so far?
so here is my problem that just started. i was abble to run a report and upload that report to mobile repoerts on comicbase and see that report from the internet on my phone when i go out hunting for books. at the same time i run a collection report on the current box that is being filled as this case it would be box N25. so on the cmicbase website i would have 2 reports one with all books up to the last box imported (in this case N24) and the current database for box N25 that is the newest books i have purchased but are not in the main database. so i should have 2 reports the first one as "ALL MAIN DATABASE" and the second as "BOX-N25" .....comic base will name the reports as whichever the last report that is uploaded so both reports are named the same but have different database info inside of the reports. this all started after upgrade to newest 19.3.
before update, all worked well with multi reports for multi-databases but now everything is named that same but are different reports with different info.
You might want to consider using the Reports menu in the software, use the 'preview' button instead of the 'save to web' button to generate the report. When the preview of the report comics on screen, use the 'export' button to save out the report and give it specific report name.
Why do you want a separate database for each box? Seems like a lot of unnecessary data replication. You could rename one of the custom fields "location" and put the appropriate box number in that data field. You could then sort using this field as desired.
